Frequently Asked Questions
Choosing the right furniture or freight delivery partner can be challenging. To help simplify the process, we’ve outlined some of the most common questions we receive from prospective clients. These answers are designed to help you determine whether Empire Delivery, Inc. is the right fit for your business.
Q: As a potential retail furniture or bedding client of Empire Delivery, Inc., is my company prohibited from using your services due to minimal sales volume (less than daily full truckload)?
Answer:
No. Total sales volume is not an issue. Empire Delivery operates generic delivery trucks daily, which carry merchandise for multiple retailers. This shared-delivery model allows smaller retailers to benefit from competitive delivery pricing without the need for full truckload volumes.
Q: As a potential client of Empire Delivery, Inc., what is required to inquire about or initiate service?
Answer:
Getting started is simple. Call our Corporate Office at (215) 632-1200 and ask to speak with Mike Donnelly or Lyndon Johnson, or email us at tdonnelly@empiredelivery.com.
From there, we will schedule a meeting to discuss your service needs. Empire Delivery will then custom-design a program and pricing structure tailored specifically to your operation and present it for your review and approval.

Q: As a potential client, is a formal agreement required to work with Empire Delivery, Inc.?
Answer:
Yes. For dedicated operations, where Empire Delivery invests in client-specific management, equipment, and resources, a formal agreement is required.
For non-dedicated operations, a full agreement is not necessary; instead, service rates will be formalized for the services provided (such as the use of generic Empire Delivery trucks).
Q: Once we decide to use Empire Delivery, Inc., how quickly can service begin?
Answer:
Non-dedicated operations can typically be integrated into our existing network within a few days once terms are agreed upon.
Dedicated operations will depend on the size and scope of the engagement, including equipment availability, staffing, and training. In these cases, Empire Delivery senior management will provide a clear startup timeline.
Q: Does Empire Delivery provide haul-away services for old furniture or bedding?
Answer:
Empire Delivery can provide haul-away services for old bedding at a nominal charge. However, we do not offer haul-away services for used furniture that customers wish to dispose of.
